WOMEN’STEC is seeking to recruit a bank of trades tutors for the 2016 – 2018 period to deliver Level 1 accredited training in the following areas:

  • Joinery;
  • Plumbing;
  • Electrics;
  • Floor and Wall Tiling;
  • Painting and Decorating;
  • Manual Handling.

 

Work release applicants are welcome. Tutors should be available to deliver training for 2 hours a week, over a ten week period; dates to be agreed with WOMEN’STEC.

Essential Criteria:

A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your specialist subject area.

A recognised teaching qualification or commit to achieving the Certificate in Teaching (CIT) within an agreed timescale.

Ability to work within the mission, vision and values of WOMEN’STEC.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable: hours may involve day, evening and/or weekend work.

Minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience delivering training to women who have been excluded from education, training and employment.

A minimum Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of assessment and delivery of accredited programmes, particularly to women who have faced significant barriers to learning.

Experience of design and delivery of basic level training programmes.
