The annual WOMEN’STEC celebration of achievement ceremony took place at the Duncairn Centre for Culture and Arts on Wednesday 11th March.

Lynn Carvill, Chief Executive of WOMEN’STEC said,

“It is with great pleasure thatwe recognise the hard work of our students. Many of these women have to overcome considerable barriers to take part in our courses. We have had a dedicated group of students this year and are delighted that the Lord Mayor, Nichola Mallon could attend the ceremony to congratulate our students and present the Student of the Year award.”

WOMEN’STEC is the largest quality provider of training for women in non-traditional skills in Northern Ireland – everything from joinery to plumbing to Information Technology.

WOMEN’STEC is based in Belfast and works to enable women to return to employment in non-traditional sectors, tackles gender stereotypes and contributes to reducing unemployment.
