We're taking this chance to look back at what’s been an incredible year at WOMEN’STEC: • January – Classes kicked off and we started the year with the brilliant bunch of girls from Holy Cross for our #NotJustForBoys  programme • February – We attended the annual Meet the CIOB conference and even featured in the Irish News! • March was busy! - We were delighted to be featured in Specify Magazine, we celebrated Women in Construction Week, International Women’s Day, and we said

We were delighted to be invited to the 2025 STEMstruct Celebration Event last week hosted by #NotJustForBoysChampions   Construction Futures ! We had the pleasure of running workshops with both boys and girls, and we’re happy to report that ours was apparently one of the favourites… we’ll take that! We had such a brilliant time working with 145 students and seeing the STEM competition judged by a panel of experts from across the construction sector — including our very own CE

Tomorrow marks two months since we opened WOMEN’STEC North West and we’re still honoured that Marie Ferguson from Braidwater joined us to officially open the centre and share her inspiring journey with everyone in the room. Moments like this remind us why strong partnerships matter. We held our latest Try a Trade Event in partnership with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive last week, and what a day! This event brought together schools, industry professionals, and our team of amazing tutors, with a hands-on introduction to some of the different careers in construction that girls could avail of. Over two days, we worked with St. Gerard’s Special School  and their post-16 students as well as girls from Belfast Model School for Girls  and Blessed Trinity
