We're thrilled to share the success of our recent collaboration with Mid and East Antrim Council through their labour market partnership. Over the course of four weeks, eight determined women completed our DIY course, mastering essential skills like drilling, sawing, tiling, and electrics.
In addition, six participants undertook an intensive eight-week OCNNI Level 2 DIY program, where they delved deeper into plumbing, electrics, and carpentry. Not only did they gain valuable knowledge, but each participant also received a drill and measuring tape to aid their future projects.
The feedback we've received has been overwhelmingly positive. One participant expressed how the course provided them with newfound confidence and purpose, while another highlighted how it equipped them to tackle DIY tasks at home.
Furthermore, our participants didn't stop there—they put their skills to the test by creating their own projects, including toys for kids and home storage solutions.
