Building
Girls

Building Girls introduces primary school girls to practical, hands-on skills through workshops. It focuses on areas like construction, car mechanics, and DIY. The girls learn how to use tools and complete projects, while also exploring themes of gender equality and looking into careers in industries where women are often underrepresented. This helps inspire the next generation to think differently about their future opportunities and careers.
The programme is designed to give girls a chance to build confidence, discover new talents, and learn skills that can lead to well-paid, sustainable careers. By focusing on schools in disadvantaged areas, it aims to provide opportunities that many girls might not otherwise get.
This programme is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, Awards For All and CITB NI.
