Last week our, 'Trading Places' summer scheme took place, where our girls had a fantastic time making copper plant pot holders and a wooden marble run game.
On the last day of the course, a trip was organised by our #NotJustForBoysChampions GEDA Construction, where the group got a chance to see the work they are doing in Ormeau Park and explore the site with our guides.

"We're so proud to be working alongside WOMENSTEC who, over the last 20 years have encouraged women and girls to break down barriers to enter employment in 'non-traditional' roles such as Construction.
#TeamGEDA Placement Student Ursula and Public Liaison Officer Aisling welcomed girls aged from 11 to 15 from WOMENSTEC to our #Ravenhill site, to gain an insight into all things Construction.
Ursula demonstrated some skills such as how to get levels and detect services, then they tried building structures using marshmallows and spaghetti. The girls also got a tour of our busy Ravenhill site.
We're delighted to play our part in helping to break down barriers and encourage more women into the Construction industry!"
