We were delighted to partner with Northern Ireland Housing Executive last month to spend time with staff who deliver repair and maintenance services to Housing Executive tenants.
Our #NotJustForBoys Coordinator Claire visited their Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) office in Portadown to raise awareness of our partnership and to explore potential barriers that women and girls who want to join the construction industry face.
Claire said: “I was delighted to be involved in this initiative. NIHE have been a fantastic #Champion and this demonstrates how committed they are to making their workplaces more diverse and accessible for women and girls. We are especially looking forward to collaborating with them in the new year and continuing to support them to champion women and girls in non-traditional sectors."
